BRAKE ACCUMULATOR SPHERE (Before VIN 30000) (RH2390SXR)

This is a fully reconditioned and regassed brake accumulator sphere for a Shadow I or T1 (all cars prior to VIN 30000).All of our reconditioned hydraulic units for cars from 1966 - 1980 are rig-tested prior to despatch. We strongly recommend that the valve body that the sphere screws into is resealed (RH2435) or replaced with a reconditioned unit (UE37583SXR) when replacing the sphereACCUMULATOR SPHERE SURCHARGE POLICYSeries 1 models have the outlet for the exhaust in the front of the exhaust manifold on the front of the engine.Both accumulator spheres and valve bodies are side by side at the rear of the left hand side of the engine.Series 2 models have the exhaust manifold downtake in the centre of the manifold.This means that on Series 2 models the front accumulator sphere and valve body was moved to the front of the right hand side of the engine block. This sphere also had to be shallower to allow it to fit in the space.Other than being shallower the Series 2 sphere is identical to the Series 1 sphere.The shallow Series 2 sphere UE37237SXR is suitable for Series 1 & 2 models.The deeper Series 1 sphere RH2390SXR will fit all Series 1 models and the rear (LH) on the Series 2.
