C48 ALTERNATOR CONVERSION (UD4341ALTSXR)

This is a C48 dynamo that has been converted internally into an alternator. The external look and fittings are exactly as per the original dynamo. Simple modification of the wiring (instructions supplied) is all that is required in order to fit this unit. We can also convert your ammeter to a voltmeter if required - see part number UD4566VOLTSXR for Series 2 & 3 standard steel models.Instruction SheetAlternator conversions once cut in at low rpm have a maximum output of 46 amps, the benefit of an alternator conversion is that they are not restricted to output by rpm (revolutions per minute) unlike a dynamo. i.e. when a vehicle is stationary on tick over with a dynamo fitted there is minimal charge or discharge until rpm (revolutions per minute) is increased, with an alternator fitted once cut in at low rpm you will get continual charging.
