This is a complete damper ball joint and housing assembly including a new OEM ball joint, that has been built up and is ready to fit to the car.The ball joint has been set up and shimmed correctly.The housing take a grease nipple allowing for regular maintenance.It is very common for the damper ball joint to seize or to be over-tightened which can ultimately cause damage to the damper.The assembly is sold on an exchange basis. If your old housing has seized into the bottom of your damper and you are also replacing the damper then please feel free to cut the bottom of the damper off and send us the damper with the housing in it.
