EARLY LH REAR CALIPER (Prior to VIN 13185 approx with early handbrake adjuster) (UG13081SXR)

This is a genuine left hand rear caliper that has been fully reconditioned. It is suitable for all early cars with a master cylinder and the early handbrake adjusting nut as per extra photo below (1965 to 1972 approximately). RH2577SXR can also be used. The most common cause of a caliper failure is a collapsed rubber flexible hose. We, therefore, recommend that you replace the two rat trap hoses (CD6248P) and the four rear caliper hoses (CD6243P, CD6244P, CD6247P & CD6248P).This is a fully reconditioned caliper, sold on an exchange basis so a core unit surcharge will be applied. This will be refunded upon receipt of a serviceable exchange caliper. Our reconditioned calipers all come with a 2 year guarantee. We only use original RR calipers as our core units; these are completely stripped and cleaned. The casings are zinc coated and new external and internal seals and pistons are fitted. The handbrake mechanism is completely rebuilt using new components before the calipers are reassembled and pressure-tested. All of this work is carried out in the UK by respected brake reconditioning specialists.
