ELECTRONIC IGNITION CONVERSION KIT (ELEC3)

This is a kit to convert your distributor from points to electronic ignition. It is suitable for the S3 and Silver Cloud III and the Silver Shadow & Bentley T1 before VIN 8742. The kit is easy to fit and comes with full instructions. All parts are located inside the distributor cap. Benefits of this system include: Increased spark plug life, improved fuel economy, smoother engine running and response. When fitting this kit we recommend fitting a Pertronix Flamethrower 1.5 ohm coil - COIL1 (chrome finish) or COIL2 (black finish).It is not designed to be used with copper HT leads and is only suitable for 12V negative earth ignition systems.Due to the Ignitor unit producing very high voltage output compared to standard points, it is essential that you have an exceptionally good earth connection. This may otherwise give the impression that the ignitor unit is faulty.The ballast resistor is to be retained where fitted (applicable only on SY models from VIN 01942).FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
