This is a late SYII -early SZ B series engine These are good running engines that we have recently removed from cars.When we first receive a car for recycling we assess the condition of the engine - visually we check for leaks and smoking from the exhaust, we check that there are no knocks or rattles coming from the engine and we do a compression test.If we consider the engine to be in good working order, and suitable to be fitted into a car in its current condition, then we keep the engine in this condition rather than send it away to be rebuilt.
