PAG 3 oil (PAG150 or 488 are the same oil) should be used if your air conditioning system has been running on R12 gas and has been completely flushed OR if your system is already running on R134.The UE43934 compressor takes 8 ounces of oil and the rest of the system takes a further 4 ounces – this will be required if the system has been flushed.If you are unsure about the flushing of the system or the gas that is in the system then we recommend using Ester Oil instead (ESTER) – this is compatible for R134 gas but will cause the seals in the system to swell in case there is any residual R12 still in the system.
