STARTER MOTOR (From 1968 to 1988) (UE46348P)

In 1987 (From VIN 20001 to 24500 approximately) a new Nippon Denso starter motor was introduced to replace the Lucas motor that had been fitted since 1968 on all models.Bentley no longer supply the Nippon Denso starter. We have manufactured a new high torque starter using Nippon Denso internal components. This starter offers faster and quieter starting than the original Lucas motor.It is suitable for all Silver Shadow and Bentley T models from VIN 4448.However, please be aware that Left Hand Drive cars from 1968 to 1973 (approx) were fitted with a different starter motor. If your car falls in this VIN range please organise to send it to us for overhaul. The relevant chassis numbers are as follows:Standard Cars: 4448-4548, 5086-5603, 6425 - 8861, 9001 - 14847 except 14815Coachbuilt Cars: 5070 - 5141, 6450 - 8694, 9040 - 14995 except 14780, 14831, 14885LWB Cars: 6599 - 8697, 9067 - 14896On the SZ models it is suitable up to the following VINs:Silver Spirit & Mulsanne VIN 24496Silver Spur VIN 24503Bentley Eight VIN 24497Turbo R VIN 23935Mulsanne S VIN 245011989 Model Year cars after these VINs were fitted with a similar Nippon Denso starter motor but with only two mounting bolts.
