THERMOSTAT (78C) (RH9143)

This is the original thermostat for the early post-War cars with the 6 Cylinder engines.They open at 78C. We have become increasingly aware of engine problems being caused by engines running too hot. We feel that this is partly caused by the ethanol content of modern fuels but we are definitely seeing an increase in problems related to the bottom half of the engine overheating. Fitting an RH9143 may help to alleviate any hot running issues.Please be aware that these thermostats are no longer supplied with the holes for the extraction tool RH639.
